Link Text Tag: The text that is highlighted to indicate a web hyper link.
The clickable portion of text displayed (usually as blue, underlined text) for a web link. Also known as anchor text.
It is defined between
<a href=""> and </a> in the HTML source part.
The HTML code for a link text tag looks like this:

Some search engines look for keywords in the hyperlinks and any text immediately surrounding the hyperlinks.
Keywords in link text are more important than keywords in normal text. Text (link text) points to another web page
should naturally deserve more attention to users than normal text.
You should include your most important keyword phrases in the web link, and possibly the surrounding text.

- Make sure your most important keyword or phrase are in your link text tags.
- Make sure your link text are readable and understandable.
- Make sure the inbound link text also include top keywords.
